My best friend told me that generally speaking, men like older women naman coz they want someone to take care of them kasi nga di ba late sila mag-mature. My bf is 6 years younger than I am & we’re both enjoying each other’s company even if we have diff likes/dislikes & surprisingly, parang matured pa sya than me Well, I guess age really doesn’t matter, maturity does.

IM 21 YRSOLD AND IN LOVE WITH A 49 YR OLD MAN. WEVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 6 MONTHS NOW. HE HAD A 3YRS RELATIONSHIP BEFORE. I HAVE READ HIS MAILS AND FOUND OUT THAT THEY ARE SO IN-LOVE WITH EACH OTHER DURING THOSE TIMES. IM A BIT HURT, THOUGH I SHOULDN’T BE, BECAUSE IT IS ALREADY HIS PAST, BUT WEIGHING OUR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER SEEMS LIKE A LOT LESS THAN HE AND HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND HAS. PLUS WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE IS THAT HE’S CALLING ME SAME ENDEARMENT WITH HIS PAST LOVE, AND WHAT HE PLANNED FOR THEM BEFORE, IS WHAT HE’S PLANNING FOR US RIGHT NOW. I’M SCARED THAT MAYBE HE JUST SEES ME AS A PROXY FOR HER PAST LOVE. BECAUSE THE GIRL WENT TO OTHER COUNTRY AND IT IS HARD FOR THEM TO STILL BE TOGETHER.

I NEED AND ADVICE. DO HE REALLY LOVE ME? OR JUST SEEING ME AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR HER PAST LOVE?

A woman prefers to have an older partner because she wants to feel secured. It is in the nature of a woman to think about her future. Another reason is that older men know how to handle relationships.

The older half of a relationship usually takes the lead because they simply have more experience. The younger half usually shows respect by trusting in that experience. In general women usually like to be the recipient of acts of affection. Men are usually looking for respect, not so much affection. With an older man younger woman, the age and gender bias compliment, usually. Older men usually want and get more respect from younger women. Younger women usually want and get more affection from older men.
Usually, young men are emotionally immature for relationships as compared to young women so that older men (5 years or so) and younger women find themselves as peers in dating.
The irony in the whole thing is that young women, who have less sex drive than young men, find themselves in a committed sexual relationship years before them. Then the younger woman, who will out live men her own age by several years, has added to how much longer she will oulive her mate.
