Knowledge Channel presents Lead the Change 2010

The most terrible causes of poverty are found in the third world countries like the Philippines. There is the wealthy and the needy. People in the worst are exploited and treated unjustly, and they are not given the basic resources such as education and health care to compete with those on upper classes. If our society was fair and equal, is poverty would not be a topic at all? Now the next big question is: Is there a way that we can change poverty, any good ideas?

Poverty is a 21st Century problem that more and more of our youngsters are coming face to face with.  The cost that children of poverty must pay is incredibly high.  Every year, maximizing numbers of children are entering schools with needs from portions, like poverty, that schools are not ready to meet.

If anyone is interested, I would like to invite you to join the event, Lead the Change 2010, which will be held on the 17th of February at the Rockwell Tent, proudly presented by The Knowledge Channel, which its main intention is to educate and help Filipino people to learn how to get back on their feet. Please to expect Ms. Peggy Dulany Rockefeller, founder of the Global Philanthropists Circle and Synergos Institute as its guest of honor.

Help provide a public school with Knowledge Channel. KCh is a non-profit organization that produces and broadcasts curriculum-based programs for elementary and high school. Let us all help them to connect to more schools by donating and supporting this wonderful cause.

To get an idea, a Cable-A-School Sponsorship will cost around P100,000 per public school for cable-able schools, and
around P150,000 per public school for remote schools with satellite dishes.
